Helpdesk Manager required by a leading Managed Service Provider in London, responsible for overall client support engineering (1st Line – 2nd Line). As Helpdesk Manager, you will have strong technical and operational background as well as solid organisational change and management skills.

Helpdesk Manager – Skills & Responsibilities

  • Proven Technical Support ability across Windows, Microsoft, Networks
  • Provide day-to-day supervision and leadership for the Engineering team
  • Will be the escalation point for client support and will be a model for customer service excellence for the team
  • The main point of client technical and non-technical escalations from 1st line to 2nd line
  • Respond to tickets and issues raised by clients to the helpdesk, alongside the rest of the engineering team
  • Metrics & Reporting – monitor, measure and analyse service levels and helpdesk performance
  • Mentor and develop engineers on exceptional customer service and appropriate urgency for incidents and requests

LightBurst are proud to partner with an established Managed Services provider, based in the heart of London. This Managed Service provider are looking to identify and appoint a Technical Support Engineer (2nd Line), responsible for 2nd Line (Level 2) support services to their clients.

The Technical Support Engineer will strive to lead and develop their skill set through training and certification.

Techncial Support Engineer Skills required

  • Proven understanding of various Microsoft Windows server, AD Hyper-V, Exchange
  • Solid understanding of Virtualisation using VMware
  • A good understanding of SAN Technology
  • Detailed understanding of a Network Infrastructure and Protocola (TCP, IP, DNS, DHCP) and Devices including Switches, Routers and Firewalls, Cisco, Watchguard, Juniper, Sonicwall
